A pet zebra named Ed caused a stir in Nashville after he was spotted trotting along Interstate 24 on May 31. Authorities temporarily shut down the roadway as Ed made his way into nearby woods. Videos of the zebra’s highway stroll and neighborhood wanderings quickly went viral on social media. The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office said Ed was found on June 8 in a pasture near a subdivision in central Tennessee. He was safely airlifted by helicopter and returned to his owner in an animal trailer. Ed’s owner reported he is now back home, safe and sound.
