Eight students were rescued from a roller coaster that got stuck at the top of a vertical climb at Pleasure Pier Park in Galveston, Texas, on May 29. According to the fire department, the rescue took nearly four hours. All eight riders were safely rescued. The park said the ride will undergo a thorough inspection before it returns to operation.
