Volusia County Sheriff’s Deputies entered “uncharted waters” on paddleboards and captured a man who resisted arrest. Police attempted to take 28-year-old Chase Cruz into custody in Daytona Beach, Florida when he ran away from police. Cruz jumped into the ocean and tried to swim away, but the police pursued him on paddleboards and arrested him. Cruz is charged with loitering, prowling and resisting arrest.
