A police officer in Kalamazoo, Michigan safely caught a baby from a burning building on May 15. A mom and her baby were trapped inside their burning home, and when the police arrived, they assisted in getting both out safely. The officer on scene first told the mom to drop her baby to him from the second floor, and once the baby was safely away from the house the police officers assisted the mom with climbing out of the window. The officer said he knew it was the right thing to do because he has a baby and would want to get his baby to safety immediately.”
