A Mexican Navy training ship struck the underside of the Brooklyn Bridge on May 18, causing the ship’s three masts to collapse. Two crew members died and more than a dozen were injured, local officials said. Two cadets remain hospitalized in New York, and the rest of the 200-person crew has returned to Mexico. Investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board are reviewing the ship’s data recorder to determine the cause of the crash.
