A judge rebuked a woman who joined her virtual court hearing while driving a car. Judge Michael K. McNally told the woman that she was not permitted to be in a car during a court hearing. The woman denied driving a vehicle during the hearing, and said she was a passenger. The judge accused her of lying to him, and requested that she put the driver on camera. The woman then pulled over and got out of the car. The judge submitted a default judgement against the defendant because she was not available and lied about driving a car. According to WXYZ TV in Detroit, the woman issued a statement claiming responsibility for appearing on the zoom court hearing while driving and said it was a mistake.
