A deputy was seen swiping through what appears to be a dating app during a standoff with an armed suspect on April 8 in Riverside, California. The deputy is seen swiping left on several women before putting his phone down, right behind an active barricade while a suspect involved in the operation was still armed and alive. The Riverside County Fire Department later pronounced the suspect dead at the scene, but it is unclear what crime the suspect committed. The Riverside County Sheriff's Office released a statement which said it does not support the actions of the deputy and it is conducting an internal investigation about the incident.
