A Washington State deputy used a lasso to remove a man wielding a chainsaw from a pond in Pierce County on June 14. Deputies were called to the property after neighbors reported a man threatening his parents with a chainsaw and then chasing his father. When deputies arrived, the man was in the pond and refused to leave. Body camera footage showed a deputy using a trusty lasso to pull the man from the water. He was taken to a hospital, where he continues to receive mental health services.
