On her wedding day, Kaci Wilson was escorted down the aisle by 7-year-old Saleh Ahmad, the recipient of her late son’s heart. Wilson’s son, Miles Godfrey, was taken off life support after a car crash in April 2023. His parents chose to donate his organs, and his heart gave Ahmad a second chance at life. Meeting for the first time that weekend in Georgia, Wilson listened to Ahmad’s heartbeat through a stethoscope before walking down the aisle with her son’s heart close by.
