President Donald J. Trump called the Artemis ll astronauts to congratulate them on their record-breaking flyby of the dark side of the moon. After his comments to the astronauts, there was an awkward silence which lasted more than a minute. The astronauts did not reply to any of Trump‘s comments but stared at the camera and played with a microphone. There was a communication check which proved the transmission was working fine and there was no delay. Trump blamed the silence on a technical glitch.
