On Feb. 2, Punxsutawney Phil emerged from his burrow under the watchful eye of thousands in Pennsylvania. Groundhog Day is a tradition dating back more than 100 years. If Phil sees his shadow, it is believed there will be six more weeks of winter. If he doesn't, spring will come early. This year, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, predicting six more weeks of winter. According to noaa.gov, Phil's predictions are accurate 35% of the time.
