General manager Jake Passmore said he recommends the savory doughnuts.

If you're going for a savory, definitely get the chicken bacon ranch, Passmore said.

As for the sweet doughnuts, the consensus was that first-time customers must try the French toast doughnut.

It's the most popular across the country, but for a reason, Passmore said. It's very, very good.

Susanna Adams, an employee at the store, said her favorite doughnut is the blueberry hill.

I really like fruit flavors, she said.

Parlor Doughnuts strives to have something for everyone, with more than 20 flavors on the menu as well as keto, vegan, gluten-friendly and even dog doughnuts.

Parlor Doughnuts also sells various drinks and breakfast items. The store is open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., and the owners are actively looking for ways to customize the store for the Provo community.

We're staying open later than even the Pleasant Grove shop, Passmore said.

He explained that their goal is to provide a storefront where students and families can come to get a late-night treat or date-night doughnut.

The founder of Parlor chose the name because a parlor in your house, historically, is where you sit and have guests, Jared Murphy said. He wanted it to be a brand where the locations can be where you hang out.

Each Parlor Doughnuts also gets a customized logo and a local feature doughnut, both unique to that store. The local feature doughnut is meant to represent local flavors, and Jared Murphy said they are in the process of developing that doughnut for the Provo store.

If anybody at BYU wants to throw in their suggestions for what our Provo local feature should be, thatd be great, Jared Murphy said.

Parlor Doughnuts is located at 2331 N 400 W in Provo, and its Instagram is @utahparlordoughnuts.
