No. 19 BYU women's volleyball set to visit West Virginia

BYU women’s volleyball is set to match up against West Virginia in Morgantown on Thursday at 4 p.m. Mountain Time.

The No. 19 Cougars are coming off an intense four-set victory at Cincinnati, earning another conference win. They will look to carry that same energy as they travel straight from Ohio to West Virginia.

Star freshman Suli Davis had a huge game at Cincinnati, which heavily impacted BYU. The Cougars will continue to count on her making big plays from the middle.

West Virginia has struggled to gain any momentum in conference play after having a historic, undefeated preseason. The Mountaineers have lost back-to-back games against Cincinnati and Kansas State.

Despite West Virginia finishing with a loss, both games did not end without a fight. On Wednesday, WVU lost to Kansas State in five close sets.

It is clear that BYU looks be a top contender as the best team in the Big 12, but the relentless fight of this West Virginia team will not be overlooked in the Cougars' game plan.

This match will be a quick turn around for both teams with WVU having the advantage of its energetic home crowd behind them in the Hope Coliseum.
