KANSAS CITY — In the second round of the Big 12 tournament on Wednesday afternoon, No. 12 Iowa State took care of Cincinnati, beating the Bearcats 76-56.
This will set up an exciting rematch of the thrilling double-overtime game that took place just eight days ago against BYU.
That game saw BYU escape Ames with a three-point victory, but this game will have a lot more at stake: A spot in the Big 12 semifinals.

"They came into our building and did a great job and earned the victory," Iowa State head coach, T.J. Otzelberger, said about the March 4 game against BYU. "We will prepare just like we prepare for every game."
In a game that saw BYU leading scorer, Richie Saunders, play 47 minutes, the Cougars managed to snag an 88-85 victory.
That game was one of the most pivotal Big 12 games of the season. The BYU victory clinched the No. 4 seed in the Big 12, granting the Cougars a bye in the first two rounds of the Big 12 tournament.
"BYU's a good program. They came in and smacked us in the mouth," Iowa State big man, Joshua Jefferson said. Jefferson scored a game-high 19 points against Cincinnati.
The Cyclones and Cougars will tipoff on Thursday at 10:30 MDT.
