Gibb, Hamlin receive All-Big 12 honors as BYU advances to face Utah in the Big 12 Tournament

Freshman Olivia Hamlin and sophomore Delaney Gibb received All-Big 12 honors following the conclusion of the 2025-2026 regular season.

Both players helped the Cougars top off the regular season with a respectable record and strong finish in the Big 12.

Gibb was named to the All-Big 12 First Team. Hamlin was named as an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention and Big 12 All-Freshman Team.

Gibb came off an impressive freshman season, earning the 2025 Big 12 Freshman of the Year award. Additionally, she was recognized as the Big 12 Freshman of the Week 10 times.

After such an outstanding start to her career, Gibb jumped right back into it throughout her sophomore year despite an early injury during non-conference play.

Gibb has been a consistent leader for BYU on both sides of the ball. She makes a statement on offensive drives, snagging rebounds, and converting turnovers into points.

Gibb also collected three Big 12 Starting Five honors and was named a midseason top-10 candidate for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Shooting Guard of the Year Award, presented by the USBWA.

Hamlin came to BYU determined to be an impact player, and her honors this season reflect that. Starting in 9 non-conference games at the start of the season, Hamlin helped the Cougars put up their best non-conference winning percentage in program history.

Hamlin also earned Big 12 Freshman of the Week in December to close the non-conference schedule and in February after a huge rivalry win at the Huntsman Center.

Known for driving to the basket and finishing plays on offense, Hamlin has also made her mark defensively, leading all Big 12 freshmen in steals and steals per game.

The recognition reflects the impact both players have had throughout the season.

As BYU moves deeper into the Big 12 Tournament following its first conference tournament win, the Cougars will look to Gibb’s leadership and Hamlin’s young growth to help further their postseason run.

The No. 9-seed BYU is set to tip off against the No. 8-seed Utah Utes for the third time this season on Thursday at 12:30 p.m.
