The once fan favorite in Provo, Utah will still have people yelling, "FOUSS," whenever he scores in the paint. This time, in France.
On Tuesday, former BYU center Fousseyni Traore signed a one-year deal to play with SIG Strasbourg, making it the first professional club that the Mali native will play for after college.

Strasbourg plays in the French Pro A League, the top tier of French basketball. In 2024-25, it finished 12th in the regular season and reached quarterfinals in the playoffs.
Traore played his last collegiate game in March after a successful four-year career at BYU.Traore is top 25 in school history in career points (1,338) and No. 6 in career rebounds (869).
In 128 games and 63 starts, Traore averaged 10.3 points per game on a program record 61.1% shooting from the field.
Traore scored 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds against VCU in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to help the Cougars win their first tournament game since 2011.
