Less than two weeks before fall camp starts for football programs all around the country, one of the biggest quarterback transfers has finally found a new home.
Former BYU quarterback Jake Retzlaff has reportedly verbally committed to Tulane, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel.

Retzlaff decided to withdraw from BYU on July 11, after he admitted to having sexual intercourse in wake of a civil lawsuit that accused the quarterback of sexual assault.
With this admission, Retzlaff reportedly faced a seven-game suspension for breaking the university's honor code, which prohibits sex outside of marriage.
According to Thamel, Tulane held more than a week-long background check on Retzlaff, which included a university Title IX officer vetting the transfer.
Retzlaff has a history with Tulane head coach Jon Sumrall, who recruited Retzlaff in 2023 as the head coach of Troy. Retzlaff reportedly has a previous relationship with many of Tulane's coaching staff.
Retzlaff will enter the program as a walk-on and will compete for the starting spot with four other transfer quarterbacks who were not with the program before January.
The Green Wave finished the 2024 season with a 9-5 record and are one of the better Group of Six teams in college football.
Retzlaff helped lead the Cougars to an 11-2 season that included an Alamo Bowl win over Colorado in 2024. He threw for 2,947 yards, 20 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 2024.
This season at Tulane will mark Retzlaff's final year of college eligibility.
