Spring ball for the Cougars ended with some alumni pride and a little nostalgia under the lights.
Team Royal, coached by former BYU offensive coordinator Norm Chow, defeated Team Navy, led by former quarterback Robbie Bosco, 29-22, in the annual alumni-style spring game.
The win capped a competitive night that brought former Cougars back to campus to lace up their cleats one more time.
Bosco, who is set to become a mission president in Columbus, Ohio, brought energy and familiarity to Team Navy, while Chow leaned on his experience running high powered offenses to guide Team Royal to the win.
The game itself was competitive from start to finish, with both sides trading scores and big plays. Team Royal ultimately pulled away late to secure the victory and close out the spring on a winning note.
Fans showed up and brought strong energy throughout the night, staying loud and engaged from start to finish. The support stood out and helped give the game a true competitive feel.
For BYU, the night was less about the final score and more about celebrating the program’s past while building toward the future.
