Students discuss their experiences as black athletes at BYU in reflection of Black History Month.

Female athletes gathered at the Marriott Center on Saturday, Feb. 3 to showcase the positive role athletics can play for young girls prior to the women’s basketball game against Gonzaga.

BYU cheerleader Anna Richey has been rooting for the Cougars since before she was even born. While competing at US Nationals in 2015, Anna got the call that her father had passed way. She decided to stay as a tribute to him.
