BYU standout guard Delaney Gibb was named to the Ann Meyers-Drysdale Shooting Guard of the Year Midseason Top 10 watch list.
The announcement was made Tuesday by the Naismith Hall of Fame’s Starting Five committee.
The Ann Meyers-Drysdale Award, established in 2018, is presented annually to the nation’s top shooting guard. It is named in honor of Hall of Famer Ann Meyers-Drysdale, a four-time All-American at UCLA.
Gibb, who is averaging 16.7 points and 4.1 rebounds per game this season, joins Baylor guard Tahlia Scott as the only Big 12 players selected to the midseason top 10. The recognition is notable for both BYU and the Big 12, which has had multiple teams ranked in the AP Top 25 throughout the 2025–26 season, including four as of Tuesday.
Paired with BYU men’s basketball guard Richie Saunders also earning a spot on the Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Midseason Top 10, BYU becomes one of four schools to have players represented on both the men’s and women’s shooting guard award lists.
The top 10 finalists are: Tahlia Scott (Baylor), Delaney Gibb (BYU), Tatiana Roberts (Louisville), Flau’jae Johnson (LSU), Syla Swords (Michigan), Rachel Ullstrom (Richmond), Ta’Niya Latson (South Carolina), Gianna Kneepkens (UCLA), Azzi Fudd (UConn) and Mikayla Blakes.
