Fifteen BYU Track and Field athletes will compete in the NCAA championships on March 13-14 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Eight athletes from the women's team and seven from the men's team will compete.
Star freshman Jane Hedengren is set to compete for national titles in the 3,000-meter and 5,000-meter races.
Hedengren already set the women's 5000m record earlier this season with a time of 14:44.79. She also claimed the Big 12 champion title in the 3000m on Feb. 28, clocking in at 8:46.11. Hedengren has been named Big 12 Women's Outstanding Freshman of the Year and placed on the Bowerman Watch List.
Senior Riley Chamberlain will compete in the mile and 3000m races alongside Hedengren. Chamberlain set the NCAA mile record on February 14 with a 4:20.61, and took home the Big 12 champion title in the 800-meter race with a time of 2:06.21. Chamberlain is also on the Bowerman Watch List.

Freshman Tayvon Kitchen will compete in the 3000m, 5000m, and with the distance medley relay (DMR) team. Kitchen set the BYU and true freshman record for the 3000m on Feb. 13, clocking in at 7:36.23. He finished second in the race at the Big 12 championship with a 7:52.91. Kitchen has been named the Big 12 Men's Outstanding Freshman of the Year.
Kitchen, along with Carter Cutting, Brayden Dahl and Brayden Packard, will compete as the men's DMR. They finished first in the Big 12 championship, clocking in at 9:35.98.
Cutting will also be competing in the mile race. Cutting set the BYU record two times this season, with a 3:52.84. He also won the mile at the Big 12 championship with a 4:05.23.
The women's DMR will also be competing, comprising Taylor Rohatinsky, Kali McEuen, Krystie Solomon-Jensen and Jenna Hutchins. They also finished first in the Big 12 championship, clocking in at 11:11.95.
Hutchins is also competing in the 3000m along with Chamberlain and Hutchins. She set her personal best on Feb. 14 with a time of 8:44.04.
Senior Zoey Bonds is competing in the pentathlon. She placed second at the Big 12 championship, scoring a career high 4,239 points.
Senior Sami Oblad will compete in the 400-meter race. She currently holds the BYU school record in the women's 400m at 51.48. She was the runner-up for the 400m in the Big 12 championship.
Junior Isaac Hedengren will compete in the 3000m race alongside Kitchen. He holds the BYU No. 3 all-time record with a 7:41:48.
Senior Creed Thompson will compete in the 5000m alongside Kitchen. He holds a personal best of 13:19.24 in the indoor 5000m. He recently won the 3000m Big 12 champion title, running a 7:52.90.
Senior Ben Barton will compete in the heptathlon for the Cougars. He scored 5,818 points at the Penn Elite in late January. He has a career high of 5,944 points in the heptathlon and holds the BYU indoor record for the event.
