Video of the Day: Professor makes a point by laying on a bed of nails

A BYU physics professor, Dr. Francis, laid on a bed of nails during a lecture on Nov 3. to demonstrate the distribution of force. During the lecture, a student placed a smaller board of nails and a cinder block on the professors chest. The student then used a sledgehammer to break the cinder block on his chest. After the demonstration, Dr. Francis sat up with what looked like blood on the back of his shirt. The red dots were drawn on his shirt to prank his students. He has done this demonstration every semester for 35 years.
