A marijuana blunt was reportedly seen near the bushes by Heritage Halls. An officer met with the complainant, who directed them to the object. Upon brief inspection, it was determined to be an empty cocoon, not a blunt.
Individuals in a blue truck were reportedly heckling female FSY participants at Helaman Halls. Officers searched the area but could not find any sign of a blue truck or those involved. No further details were provided.
A woman believed her vehicle had been stolen. She remembered parking it at her apartment, but it was no longer there. Police helped her retrace her steps, and she realized she had left it at the Front Runner station. Her husband had picked her up from the station, and both had forgotten about the vehicle.
Welfare check
An individual at Budge Hall received a text from a friend expressing feelings of failure. Fearing for their friend's safety, they contacted police. Officers offered support to the individual and confirmed that no further assistance was needed.
A homeless individual was reported near the University Services Building. Police found him under a tree eating a box lunch. As they approached, he began to leave. Officers spoke with him and asked if he needed any assistance. He declined.
Information
An individual contacted police over concerns about a co-worker, whom they believed was experiencing domestic violence. Though the co-worker lives in another city, officers were able to provide guidance and extend various resources. The complainant planned to speak with their co-worker about the matter.
Fire
An alarm was activated on the third floor of the Hinkley Center. Provo Fire determined it had been triggered accidentally by painters in the area.
A gas smell was reported at Heritage Halls. Police and Provo Fire investigated for carbon monoxide and other hazards, but none were detected.
Agency assist
A BYU Police officer assigned to the Officer Involved Critical Incident Team was called to the Utah County Sheriff’s Office in Eagle Mountain. The officer was called in to provide support for an officer-involved critical incident. The exact nature of the incident was not disclosed.
Medical
A woman was reported experiencing a seizure in the Kimball Tower. BYU EMTs and Provo medics transported her to a hospital for treatment.
Officers responded to Heritage Halls, where an FSY counselor was having an allergic reaction to prescription medication. He was having difficulty breathing. Responders administered an EpiPen and began an IV before transporting him to Utah Valley Hospital.
An FSY counselor at Heritage Halls Building 11 reported feeling dizzy and hitting her head against a wall in a fall. Responders treated her and determined she was in good condition.
Found property
An officer arrived at the Jesse Knight Building after a staff member reported finding cash nearby. With no information about the owner, the cash was booked into evidence.
An officer retrieved a found wallet at the Smith Fieldhouse. The owner was contacted, and arrangements were made for its return.
An FSY participant set down his backpack while taking photos during an event on Cougar Field, which had about 600 attendees. When he turned back around, the backpack was missing. After checking Lost and Found and reporting it missing, he later reported it had been located.
An unattended car battery was found in Lot 52. Police confiscated it for proper disposal at an auto repair shop.
Traffic
There was a minor accident between two BYU-owned vehicles in Lot 8. The matter has been resolved.
In Lot 43, a black Camry struck a white Camry while backing up. Both drivers exchanged information.
Stolen property
An e-bike was reported stolen at Wyview. It had been locked to a bike rack, and the lock was found cut. Officers are investigating.
Missing person
A sports camp participant was reported missing. After a brief search, police found him at the Cannon Center, where he had gone after skipping the afternoon session.
