In Utah County, religion and spirituality shape daily life, but not everyone practices in the same way.
Exploring different practices, cultures and beliefs can help build community.
Its founder, Mama B., started the Mystic Frog to create community and bring people together.
"I built this place for people to have a space to explore spirituality outside of the realms of the normal expectations here in Utah County," Mama B. said.
Spiritualism shops offer a space to explore spirituality outside traditional religious settings.
"We have a very open, inviting atmosphere here for everyone to just come and be, and honestly, just exist," Mama B. said.
Events help to bring the community together, like Mystic Frog's annual clothing drive.
"I think that's what spirituality and all religion at its heart is teaching us that love and compassion are more important than anything else," April, a Mystic Frog employee, said.
The shop offers items used in spiritual practices, including tarot cards, herbs and candles.
"A spell is a prayer is probably the biggest thing, the most important thing to remember is that we all have more commonalities than we do differences," April said.
While the Mystic Frog reflects one spiritual perspective, religious leaders have emphasized the importance of mutual respect and understanding among people of different faiths in Utah.
