Mount Timpanogos Park in Orem has a new mountain bike trail.
The trail is a phase 3 track, meaning that it is the final, most advanced track that Mount Timpanogos Park has to offer.
The track has lots of fun features such as berms, drops, and of course, jumps.
Kenneth Peck, a senior who rides for Mountain View High School, was at the track.
“It's nice to have something fresh. We're excited to have it. It's gonna be great for many years to come,” Peck said.
Orem Mayor, Karen McCandless, explained the importance of the track.
“It has been a multi-year project that just started as a modest loop. It has expanded into one of the area's best mountain bike systems for riders of all skill levels,” McCandless said.
Funding for the new track was provided in large part by Utah’s Division of Outdoor Recreation.
The division gives to various community projects, with over 46 million dollars awarded in 2025.
Noemi Molina is a grant analyst who helps decide where the money goes.
Her favorite part of the job is watching money turn into results.
“When we get to come out and actually see it with our own eyes and be with the community, I think that's the best part — when we see those dollars at work,” Molina said.
Though the track has the highest berms, steepest drops and biggest jumps in the park, the main focus of the track is to provide a space to bring the community together.
