Elder Gérald Caussé just became the newest member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Elder Caussé is from Bordeaux, France, and is 62 years old. Before getting called, he was in his eleventh year of service as the Presiding Bishop of the Church.
Before becoming the presiding bishop, he was also a general authority first in Germany, and later in the United States from 2008 to 2012.
He and his wife, Valérie, have been married for 30 years and have five children.
A common theme throughout his talks has been the importance of the rising generation and the gathering of Israel.
