The researchers hope their findings will help protect the lake and keep the habitat safe for the wildlife that uses it.</p><figure> <img src="https://brightspotcdn.byu.edu/6c/d6/2b046fa34c0988d14498838cacdd/milinda-weeks.jpeg"></figure><p><b>Set design professor recognized for career excellence and mentorship</b></p><p>Milinda Weeks, a member of the BYU faculty, was awarded the Rising Alumni Award from Snow College. Weeks is an associate professor of scenic design in the department of Theatre and Media Arts at BYU. </p><p>This award recognizes graduates who have made a meaningful impact in their professions and communities. Weeks graduated from Snow College with her associate's degree before attending BYU, where she found her love of theatre and design. </p><figure> <img src="https://brightspotcdn.byu.edu/48/fd/f7386dba4a21a2bc9472d0b3899c/2nd-public-relations.jpeg"></figure><p><b>Derek Westra's thoughts on faith, facts and fiction</b></p><p>Derek Westra, the director of reputation management for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, met with BYU communications students to offer insights on his experience in public relations. </p><p>Westra, who graduated in 2006, explained to students some of the realities of PR in the field.
