“Bums!”, a musical about a businessman who turns to living on the streets to escape the stress of life is now playing at Angelus Theatre in Spanish Fork.

BYU alumnus Marvin Payne will perform his 1978 original musical, "The Planemaker" at Provo's Covey Center for the Arts despite the ongoing pandemic.

BYU performing arts students are quickly adapting to pandemic restrictions by changing how they rehearse and perform. BYU Arts previously released a statement detailing their decision to cancel all public performances for the Fall 2020 semester.

BYU Arts has announced the cancellation of all in-person events for the Fall 2020 semester in response to COVID-19. This includes performances from the School of Music, Department of Dance, Department of Theatre and Media Arts and the BRAVO! Professional Performing Arts Series.

The COVID-19 pandemic forced Utah theaters to close their doors to the public for a period of time. Utah allowed for the reopening of theaters on May 16, as noted in its COVID-19 recovery plan, Utah Leads Together. After months of canceled shows, some Utah theaters have reopened; others, however, have chosen to postpone their seasons until 2021.
