Utah's annual Arts Festival took place in Salt Lake City June 23 to 26. The event hosted over 200 performances and 170 artists. People from all over the Beehive state gathered to appreciate the arts and entertainment at the festival.

The BYU Museum of Art opened their exhibit "Prophets, Priests and Queens: James Tissot's Men and Women of the Old Testament" to the public after eight years of preparation.

Various art galleries and museums in Utah County have began putting up art exhibits that showcase local artists with diverse backgrounds and perspectives.

Maddie Lytle started creating art to spite her high school art teacher. Now she creates art to share stories in the hope of connecting with others. Her art has become her way of making wherever she is "a little more beautiful."

Gen Z uses online platforms to connect with others and showcase its creativity through its own magazine publications. Lucy Jane Ivey, Ajay Woolery and Lily Ouellet use their platform to create communities for young creatives to share their work and navigate a sense of connection with others all over the world.

Millennials and Generation Z continue to reach for older cameras and shoot film during a time of great technological advancement because of its visual aesthetics, emotional connection and their desire for something less perfect.
