BYU’s 150th anniversary is a historic milestone, and everyone in the community is invited to share the moment together.

From project exhibitions, to exciting events, to ample opportunities to serve others, here’s a look at everything going on during this yearlong celebration.

Activities

The BYU 150 Passport
Participants can download a special BYU event-based scavenger hunt that consists of a variety of “missions,” or activities related to BYU 150.

These can be completed during the year to earn points, and players who earn enough points can cash them in for exclusive prizes like BYU 150 sunglasses.

According to the BYU webpage, the purpose of this passport is to “connect with campus, serve with purpose, and celebrate everything that makes BYU unique.” It is available to all community members and can be accessed anytime through June 2026.

Instructions on how to access the scavenger hunt and pick up prizes can be viewed here.

The Beacons of Light Initiative
More than 100 departments, colleges and other units on campus are dedicating time and resources to projects and events that embody how they radiate light across campus and the world.

Examples include the Pro Bono Initiative from BYU Law, “Developing Christlike Leaders” from the Marriott School of Business, and BYU Engineering’s “BacPac Wearable sensors to eliminate pain” project.

Two on-campus exhibits will feature these projects, one in the Wilkinson Center by the information desk and another at the Hinckley Alumni and Visitors Center.
