BYU Student Wellness hosts a fright night fitness event

Halloween came early this year at BYU's fitness center. Students lit up the night with music, dancing and workouts during the fright night fest.

BYU student wellness has hosted a Halloween fright fitness event to inspire students not only to move their bodies but to get into the Halloween Spirit.

The fright night fest featured a combo of high fitness, and kickboxing under glow in the dark black lights. Participants moved to Halloween hits while lights flashed and instructors encouraged everyone to keep moving.

BYU student Becka says, "it was so fun I love coming to the high fit... kick boxing and pilates classes. This one was fun with the black out lights... and it was the first time I have dressed up so far this year which was really fun."

The event also included raffles, costumes, and prizes, making fitness feel more like a party than a workout.

Y-fitness instructor Kaitlyn says, "Everything you do in daily life is so much easier and more fun when you have a base of fitness and a love of your body and health. it just makes life more fun"

From music to movement, students say the fright night fest was a perfect way to combine fitness and festivity.
