The paintings depict sacred events leading up to Easter Sunday.

The paintings invite viewers to reflect on Christ's mortal ministry and sacrifice in light of the Easter season.

Researchers investigate rare sweeteners' impact on blood sugar

Researchers, including BYU graduate student Lauryn Osborn, are actively investigating the potential of nature's rare sugars, including allulose and tagatose.

These sugars might have the ability to lower blood sugar when consumed with a meal.

Osborn led the study, compiling data from dozens of other researchers to confirm the teams findings were consistent across the board.

These sugars are considered rare because they are found in very small amounts in nature.

They have also been shown to have potential health benefits, including lowering blood sugar and protecting teeth from cavities. They are now being used as food sweeteners and can be bought in bulk.

Chemistry students sweep Three Minute Thesis competition

Chemistry students Denise Procopio, Sudam Mane and Jhon Sia competed in the annual Three Minute Thesis competition.
