BYU Mens Golf Commits two New players

BYU men’s golf committed two new high school athletes in Kevin Wu hailing from Jiangxi Province, China and YouTube star Lincoln Markham.

The cougar golf team signs Kevin Wu this week from the class of 24’ of Montverde Academy, Shanghai Campus.

It comes as no surprise as to why the incoming freshman was on the radar of head coach Bruce Brockbank because Wu “driver carries 296 yards with a club head speed” with a smooth and fast swing according to Alba Sports Education.

Wu will spend four years at BYU and will be on track to graduate with class of 28’

Lincoln Markham from the YouTube channel What’s Inside Family has committed to BYU to join the cougar golf team. Lincoln however is not the first family member to play for BYU athletics. His great grandfather John Markham played for BYU football on the defensive line in 1946.

Sense 2008 Lincoln has played golf and became a BYU fan around the same time. At a young age he learned the BYU fight song from his dad and would sing it to himself as he fell asleep according to his father Dan Markham. it comes as no surprise that Markham choose BYU for his future.

According to NCSA college recruiting Lincoln Markham average score for 18 holes sits at about 73.84 strokes. His best career finish being 2nd place at Glenmoor PGA Junior major finishing 2 under missing the top step by only 3 strokes. In tournament the future BYU freshman had a career low of 64

Markham hails from Saint George Utah graduating with the class of 24’ from Crimson Cliffs Highschool. His home course is “Bloomington Country Club” according to bluegolf.com.

With the two new recruits the future of BYU Men’s Golf looks bright.
