The Missionary Department made changes to the vaccine, testing and mask requirements for the Missionary Training Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Church said those who don’t receive immunizations, including the COVID-19 vaccine, will still likely be reassigned to their home country.
COVID-19 testing is also no longer required before arriving at the MTC, though the Church encourages symptomatic missionaries to still get tested. Masks are now optional, but they are still required in temples and may be a requirement in individual missions.
