With Utah's weather finally starting to cool down, Brighton Ski Resort has announced it is preparing to open.
The resort changed its uphill policy to red, meaning that uphill travel is closed in the area as Brighton prepares for the upcoming ski season. The mountain, which typically averages 500 inches of snow each winter, has had a late start on snow building along with other resorts in Utah.
Brighton has yet to announce an opening day, but hopes to be able to set a date as the temperature continues to drop.
