BYU football will host No. 14 Boise State at LaVell Edwards Stadium on Oct. 29 at 8:15 p.m. (Hannah Miner)

Football

BYU football is set to take on No. 14 Boise State on Oct. 19th at 8:15 p.m. BYU currently sits at 2-4 with freshman quarterback Baylor Romney at the helm of the Cougars who took charge after previous injuries of Zach Wilson and Jaren Hall. Led by rookie quarterback Hank Bachmeier, the Boise State Broncos are undefeated with a 5-0 record. This season Bachmeier has passed 1,489 yards and averaged 63.5% in completion passes. The game will be nationally broadcasted on ESPN2 and through BYU and KSL radio channels.

Soccer

No. 5 BYU women’s soccer will face St. Mary’s on Oct. 18th at 7 p.m. While the team had its winning streak disrupted due to a tie against Santa Clara, women’s soccer has yet to be defeated. Elise Flake continues to take the field by storm and is the current leading scorer with nine of the team’s cumulative 31 goals. The game will be held at the BYU south soccer field, as well as broadcasted live through the WCC Network.

Women’s Volleyball

The BYU women’s volleyball team will go head-to-head against the San Diego Toreros on Oct. 18th at 7 p.m in the Smith Fieldhouse. The No. 9 Cougar team has an overall record of 14-2 this season and has averaged 13.6 kills per set with the support of Mckenna Miller who continues to lead the team with an average 3.8 kills per set. San Diego currently has an average of 14 kills, 2.2 blocks and 14 digs per set. With both teams having a 5-0 winning streak in the WCC conference play, the ROC will be sure to house a great match. The volleyball game will be broadcasted live on BYUtv and the BYUtv app.

Softball

The BYU softball team will have a busy week with three back-to-back home games on the Gail Miller home field. Their first game will be against the UVU Wolverines on Thursday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. On Friday, Oct. 18, the Cougars will face the College of Southern Idaho at 4 p.m. The BYU softball team will then finish off homecoming week playing Southern Utah at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19.

Men and Women’s Diving & Swimming

The BYU men and women’s diving and swimming teams will face Colorado Mesa on Oct. 18 at 11:30 a.m. in the Richard’s Building. The swimmers can expect a difficult meet as both of the Colorado Mesa men and women’s teams are ranked No. 4 in the NCAA rankings.

Men and women’s cross country

The men and women’s cross country teams will be competing in the Pre-Nationals Invitational on Oct. 19 in Terre Haute, Indiana. The time has yet to be determined.
