Four Mormon missionaries involved in Idaho car crash

Four Mormon missionaries were involved in a car crash the afternoon of April 25 on Highway 91 near Preston, Idaho.

According to Daniel Woodruff, media relations manager for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, all four missionaries are expected to recover from their injuries, but the driver and passenger of the other vehicle involved were killed in the accident.

“Our hearts go out to their families and loved ones at this tragic time,” Woodruff said.

The four missionaries involved in the accident were Elder Charly Sistrunk, 67, and his wife, Sister Debra Owens Sistrunk, 62, from Preson, Idaho and Elder Elijah Wall, 19, and Elder William Wilson, 18, both from Kentucky, are serving in the Utah Logan Mission.

“We pray that all those impacted by this accident will feel the comfort and the sustaining power of the Spirit in the days ahead,” Woodruff said.
