China lists $50 billion of U.S. goods it might hit with 25 percent tariff

Chinese Finance Vice Minister Zhu Guangyap announced Wednesday that China would respond with measures of the 'same strength' as trade relations between the U.S. and China become increasingly tense. This move from China comes after the U.S. released a list of goods subject to tariff increases, many of which are seen as staples in Chinese economy.

Trump advisers urge against hasty U.S. retreat from Syria

Despite President Trump's clear desire to pull troops out of Syria as soon as possible, his advisers suggested that he avoid pulling troops out too quickly. Trump will meet with advisers to discuss U.S. presence in Syria as well as $200 million to  be used for stabilization efforts in Syria.

April 4 marks 50 years since the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. King's family. Admirers commemorated King from Memphis to Atlanta with speeches, marches, protests and singing. In Atlanta, King's daughter Rev. Bernice King moderated an awards ceremony in honor of her father.
