The LDS Church announced Thursday it will begin filming a series of Book of Mormon videos, similar to the recent videos it filmed about the Bible.

Filming is set to begin in June 2017 at the church’s Jerusalem set in Goshen, Utah, and possibly in other North American locations. The church also sent out a casting call for the videos with their announcement Thursday.

Filming will be in English initially and is expected to be translated to other languages later. The multi-year project’s first videos are anticipated to be released in 2018.

The videos will be used in church classes and missionary work. They will also be available for personal viewing and noncommercial use.

“These Book of Mormon videos will have the same purpose as the Book of Mormon itself — to bring people closer to Jesus Christ,” General Authority Seventy Elder Larry R. Lawrence said in a Mormon Newsroom release. “We hope the video library will build bridges of understanding and increase interest in God’s word, which in turn can change hearts and inspire people to live better lives.”
