University Police are urging students to take caution while walking and jogging after three women reported being groped on the Provo River Parkway early in the morning.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s, medium build, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and with short blonde hair. He was wearing a dark shirt, black track pants and a jacket tied around his waste.

The women reported they were running near 3700 N. University Ave. when the crime took place. The suspect would jog toward them and act as if he was going to give a high five or shake hands. When the action was returned, the suspect would use this opportunity to briefly grope them.

The suspect did not talk or attempt to restrain the victims. He also groped a victim who was running with a partner at the time.

Police recommend students walk with a partner, carry a cellphone and take extra caution when traveling.
