BYU women’s golf wins by 23 strokes

The BYU women’s golf team claimed first place by 23 strokes at the Entrada Classic on Tuesday.

“I am very proud of my team,” BYU head coach Carrie Roberts said. “It feels good to get a win here. We have wanted it for a while. This is the first season in our program’s history that we have won four tournaments in a single season.”

In this home event BYU finished at 24 over par scoring +5, +7, and +12  in each of the 18 hole rounds over two days.

Lea Garner finished the event at three over par earning her a third place individual finish. She now has four top twenty finishes on the season.

Rose Huang placed closest to Garner for the Cougars at sixth place overall. With this finish Huang placed in the top ten for both tournaments this month.

Next the Cougars travel to compete in the Texas Tech Red Raider Invitational on April 8-9.
