Pleasant Grove High School was put on lockdown Thursday afternoon for more than one hour after a student reporting seeing a classmate with a weapon.
Alpine School District spokeswoman Kimberly Bird said police didn't found any weapons during their room-by-room search. No students were hurt.
Bird said the student lodged the report at about 2 p.m. shortly before students were going to be leaving. Police were immediately called in, and ordered the lockdown.
Classes were released one at a time around 4 p.m. after the search turned up no weapons.
Pleasant Grove is a city of about 37,000 located some 35 miles south of Salt Lake City.
