The BYU women’s volleyball team beat Pepperdine on their own court in a 3-0 game with the following scores of 25-13, 25-19 and 25-16.

“I liked the way we came out focused and with great energy,” head coach Heather Olmstead said. “I’m proud of the way the team fought the whole match.”

BYU outperformed on nearly every aspect of the game in individual statistics. Alexa Gray lead both teams with 15 kills. Camry Willardson had 34 assists. Ciara Parker lead with 17 digs. Makenna Santiago had two aces. Only blocks were tied between the two teams with Whitney Young Howard and Pepperdine’s Brooke Honeycutt. Both girls had four blocks during the game.

This is the first time the teams have played each other this season. The second face-off between the two will be held on Nov. 24 in Provo at the Smith Fieldhouse.
