Teton Gravity Research will premiere its ski film “Paradise Waits” at the Red Butte Garden Amphitheater in Salt Lake City on Sept. 14.

The award-winning film crew that brought the nation “Almost Ablaze” in 2014 brings a new adventure that features last year’s strange weather patterns and the people that rejoice when the first snowflake falls.

“Paradise Waits” documents both skiers and snowboarders over the last season as they ski the massive Alaskan mountains and perform difficult tricks in many urban centers worldwide.

This year’s film features X-Games medalist Sammy Carlson, Tim Durschi and others as they adventure the world in search of the best snow conditions.

“I love the atmosphere that I feel at ski films,” said BYU student and avid snowboarder Aaron Jensen. “They get me super stoked for winter and those super deep powder days of the next season.”

Doors open at Red Butte Garden at 6 p.m. and the film starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are available online before the event for $15 dollars and are $18 dollars on the day of the film. Free equipment will also be a part of a raffle at the premiere.
