BYU baseball player Dillon Robinson was named the WCC Player of the Week on Monday after his impressive performance helped the Cougars win three out of four games against Pepperdine and UVU.

“After Dillon tweaked his ankle at Utah Valley Tuesday night we were concerned he wouldn’t even be able to play against Pepperdine,” coach Mike Littlewood said. “Not only did he play, he was a dominant presence in our lineup all weekend long and a major factor in us taking two of three from Pepperdine.”

The 2014 First Team All–WCC infielder batted 7 of 15 in the games against the Waves and Wolverines, raising his batting average from .268 on Feb. 28 to .333 on March 14.

The Cougars are 6–2 this year, when Robinson records multiple hits in a game.
