Kyle Collinsworth put up a triple-double for BYU in a 90-70 win over Hawaii on Saturday. Collinsworth had 19 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists, only the third triple-double in the NCAA this season and the first from a BYU player since 1988.

Tyler Haws scored 30 points in his 34 minutes of play. Haws shot 10 for 10 on free throws and went 2-of-5 on 3-pointers. Chase Fischer contributed 20 points in the Cougars’ win.

The Cougars (7-2) trailed the Rainbow Warriors (7-3) early in the first half but took the lead and entered halftime with the score at 37-30.

BYU out-rebounded Hawaii 49-30. Collinsworth and Haws led the team in rebounds, with 12 and seven, respectively.

A Cougar 12-4-point run halfway through the second half gave BYU the buffer it needed to Hawaii at bay the rest of the game.

BYU returns to the Marriott Center Dec. 10 to play its rival, the University of Utah.
