Theft

Nov. 18 — An individual reported a bicycle taken from the bike rack near the Wilkinson Student Center. The individual later remembered parking in a different area. The case was unfounded.

Nov. 19 — An individual reported an unsecured backpack taken from the Wilkinson Student Center.

Drinking

Nov. 22 — An individual was escorted to the police office after it was determined the individual consumed alcohol in the LaVell Edwards Stadium. The individual was released to be transported by friends.

Disorderly conduct

Nov. 19 — An officer responded to a report of an individual being disorderly near the Harold B. Lee Library.

Nov. 21 — Officers responded to a report of a verbal disagreement between two individuals in Lot 37.

Nov. 22 — An individual ran onto the playing field and was escorted from the LaVell Edwards Stadium.

Fraud

Nov. 18 — An individual reported a possible fraud situation through social media in Helaman Halls.

Nov. 19 — An unknown male robbed the Utah Community Credit Union at 1501 S. 40 East. He handed the teller a note that said, “This is a robbery” and demanded cash but didn’t present or mention a weapon. The teller complied. With the help of surveillance photos and independent leads, police arrested the suspect, Daniel Sparks, on Nov. 20.

Nov. 18 — A home near 600 N. 100 East was burglarized.

Disorderly conduct

Nov. 18 — Officers engaged in a short foot chase with a man who was the aggressor from a family fight. The man was caught and sent to jail.

Nov. 21 — Eleven cars from Orem Police, Utah County Sheriff’s Office and Utah Highway Patrol were dispatched to a location near 400 E. 1000 North to respond to a road rage incident.
