Sweet’s Island Restaurant is an unusual find in Provo with a variety of island foods stemming from an owner who grew up in Fiji and Samoa. The food is served on a cafeteria line, with an “island” atmosphere.

Hours and location:

Sweet’s is open Monday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Tuesday–Friday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

It is located at 711 W. Columbia Lane in Provo.

Price range:

Sweet’s won’t break the bank, with most of their popular items totaling under $10 and a large portion size for the amount patrons spend.

Specialty items:

The Otai is a special island drink the restaurant offers in different flavors, including watermelon coconut and mango pineapple.

A daily special emphasizes some of the restaurant’s signature island foods. It highlights a different island everyday and a specialty that the island prepares.

What the manager has to say:

“We offer the best Polynesian food; its fresh, and it’s fast,” said Omai Crichton, manager at Sweet’s.
