
The top of the Empire State Building glowed red Tuesday night to announce the Republican Party’s victory in the U.S. Senate. The GOP took control of the Senate away from the Democrats and now have a majority in both houses of Congress.
Election results in Utah were delayed due to technological glitches that affected the Salt Lake County Clerk’s office and its ability to accurately and speedily report their voting numbers. Official results weren’t available until the early hours of Wednesday morning.
