Actors from the London stage will perform Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing” Sept. 25 and 26 in the JFSB courtyard at 7:30 p.m.

Jeff Martin, the producer of the BRAVO! series at BYU, helped coordinate this opportunity with the actors, who are part of a tour organized by the Shakespeare Center at the University of Notre Dame.

“The idea of performing Shakespeare outdoors certainly isn’t new, but it’s a new idea and isn’t something we’ve done on this series before,” Martin said. “So I set out to find a group of professional, classically trained actors who could breathe life into this celebrated play and make it exciting for our audience but in an outdoor venue.”

Martin explained that most of the guest artists on the BRAVO! series spend time with the students when they come to campus. This company will be no different. The actors will teach and instruct students in the art of performing Shakespeare and conduct master classes and workshops on campus for several days following their performances.

General admission is $20, with a $7 discount for students with a BYU or student ID and $3 off for senior citizens or BYU alumni. Along with the two evening performances, a matinee show begins Saturday, Sept. 27, at 2 p.m. in the Pardoe Theatre of the HFAC.
